Hi I’m Beulah, also known as The Creamy Crack Rehab on instagram. I big chopped in 2013 and realised that I have high porosity kinky hair. I’ve spent the past few years finding products and methods that really work for my hair type and I’m excited to share what I’ve discovered with you.

It's no secret that curly hair is naturally dry, and kinky curly hair tends to be drier than other hair types. To combat this, we need to ensure that we are adding as much moisture to our hair as possible. There are several ways to add moisture to your hair but one of the best ways is by deep conditioning. Deep conditioning helps to restore/maintain the strength and moisture of your hair strands. My favourite deep conditioner happens to be Bouclème's Intensive Moisture Treatment. The treatment revitalises dry and damaged hair whilst improving curl definition and elasticity - what more could you want?

If I have some spare time, I'll apply the treatment to my wet hair straight after washing it and leave it on for 30 minutes whilst sitting under a hooded dryer. On the occasions when I don't have a spare 30 minutes or I feel that my hair just needs extra TLC, I'll apply the treatment to my hair as mentioned before but I'll leave the treatment in as a styler and allow my hair to dry naturally whilst I carry on with my day. Deep conditioning between once a week and twice a month is recommended for kinky hair as moisture doesn't tend to stick around for very long.

Do you deep condition? If you do, how often?
