"Had high hopes for this as it is raved so much online, however, I unfortunately haven’t been able to make it work yet for my hair. I have a mix of wavy and curly hair, probably between 2b - 3a. I find my curls don’t hold as well with this gel compared to others, even when combining this with the super hold styler gel. Even on day one my curls also don’t feel as soft, bouncy and defined as they do with other gels and I’ve so far found that my curls dry a bit deformed and very frizzy. Overall disappointed with both this and the super hold styler gel so far (although I’m yet to try that on its own so fingers crossed)"

"This is what I’ve been looking for- what a way too well kept secret!!! My curls/waves have been limp, lackluster, dull, and fall flat by the end of the day. I’ve been searching for the remedy, I FOUND IT!!! I’m really not a fan of the smell of these (very strong botanical) but the light gel dries without any aroma. "My favorite brand for years. I mix curl defining gel in equal parts with the strong hold gel (purple packaging) to get a good cast. It scrunches out soft and zero white residue. Any curl that loses definition is easily fixed with a little water. I leave three and sometimes four days between washes and restyling and honestly look even better on day three and four."

"I have found my One and Only. Boucleme Curl Defining Gel holds my waves exactly where they want to be. It's amazing! All gels and curl creams that I have tried in the past flatten and dull my waves with their heavy, thick texture leaving my hair hard and dry. With this product, after applying, I simply scrunch and my waves stay put. My waves are shinier and springy and fun! Additionally, my hair feels really soft. For me, my waves (with some ringlets) even last overnight-and that has never happened before this product. This is my One and Done. Nothing else needed. I love it!"

Hi I’ve just bought the boucleme curl defining gel from Amazon. The bottle reads slightly different to the pictures on your website. Eg on the bottle on the website the bottle says gelee de definition on the front …but the one I bought from Amazon says gelee coiffante on the front. Apart from that they are pretty much the same. does it wash out with water or is shampoo needed?: Hi! Our Curl Defining Gel is designed to be left in the hair. It should be the last step of your wash day routine. Start by using a cleanser/shampoo, rinse this thoroughly and then apply your conditioning products. For extra moisture, you can use our Curl Conditioner as a leave-in conditioner. Then, rake the Curl Defining Gel through your hair whilst it's still very wet. This will ensure the moisture is locked in and a cast will form.
