We spoke with our founder and CEO Michele, to discuss why she decided to launch the new Super Volumising Foam and the inspiration behind the product.

“Our goal at Bouclème is to create a range of essential and effective products for curls of all types. Customers have been asking for a mousse for a while now, it's our most requested product.

We took our time (a year to be precise) with the development and put the foam through a few rounds of rigorous testing with a panel of real curls and hairstylists. The end result is a formulation we're proud of, tried and tested and delivers what it promises. Voluminous curls that last.”


Pump up the volume: how to use Bouclème's Super Volumising Foam

Our new foam is super versatile and easy to use - simply follow the steps below to achieve voluminous, defined and weightless curls.

1. Start with wet freshly washed and conditioned hair. Pump a small amount of Boucleme's Super Volumising Foam into your palms and squeeze it gently into your hair, distributing it evenly.
2. We recommend starting with 1-2 pumps and adding more if required depending on the length and density of your hair. This foam packs a punch so a little goes a long way.
3. Work the product through your hair from roots to tips, using a scrunching motion to encourage curl formation.
4. If you're looking to achieve even more definition and hold, follow with a small amount of Boucleme's Curl Defining Gel. Apply a small palmful, raking it through your hair and gently scrunching up towards your head.
5. If your curls are naturally dry and thirsty, start with our Curl Cream first for extra moisture and nourishment. Apply a small amount of Curl Cream to your palms and rake it through your hair, starting at the ends and working your way up. Then apply your volumising foam on top.
6. Dry your hair using a diffuser to enhance volume and curl formation. Cup sections of your hair in the diffuser and move it around your head, allowing the warm air to dry your hair while maintaining your curls' shape. Alternatively, let your hair air dry.
